I ended up taking it off and throwing some vice grips on the door itself and made it manual operation.
This 2009 chevrolet silverado came in with the complaint that the a c was blowing out hot air on the driver s side of the dash the vent temperature was 140 f and the outside air temperature was 97 f in august in sunny south carolina.
It is probably the blend actuator as when it does occasionally happen the air comes out in the correct place defrost upper vents floor depending on the setting just not the correct temperature seems to only happen to me in warm weather and the a c continues to blow cold on the passenger side but blows warm on driver side.
Took the actuator apart and checked motor with.
Replacing the driver side blend door actuator acdelco 1572972 and reseting the blend doors for the front a c system.
I am trying to figure if it is the actautor or the control.
Manually operated door and got cool air or hot air so door is not a problem.
After i replaced my actuator it messed up again like a month later.
The driver side actuator is under the big black cover under the dash in the foot well area.

The recirculation door actuator is sitting a bit higher to the right the mode door actuator is accessible from the driver side and the passenger side temperature actuator my favourite is on top of the heater box and a real.
